ERP for Farms (Farm System Management)

This SaaS application  3000 registered users. Less than 30 were active a week. No charged plan. The ergonomic design was targeted as the main problem.

MISSION 1.
- Interview active users (40).
- Perform an interview set (15) on potential users (SIVAL Trade Fair) in order to evaluate the perception of Farm management domain and applications.
- Set up a first Personas set (Fictive users representing a set of usages, skills and behaviours as potentially existing persons).
- Lay down a pre-segmentation (axes research).
MISSION 2.
- Interview 300 farmers/breeders (Trade Fairs SIMA & SIA) to define their mind set and their practices about the technical & financial farm management
- Complete personas
- Select market tractions (what is the most expected)
MISSION 3.
- Set up majority usages and expectations
- Determine the Ekylibre application situation for all the usages of technical and financial management
- Define a first usage "perimeter" for the new version, answering to needs and expectations of selected segments/personas
MISSION 4.
- Go along with the design (conception) of the new application
- Design (conceive) the new application User Interface for its launching minimal version
- Go along with the application development to warrant the good integration and help to solve black spots.
- Test and make team tests
MISSION 5.
- Redefine the brand public positioning
- Recenter its promotion on real benefits
- Establish an attractive but realistic pricing strategy
- Review the on-boarding (entrance and breaking-in phase of the application)

It was discovered many things among:
- Farmers/breeders were very centered to financial management and do not immediately need technical management
- They need to anticipate production costs and profitability very early
- They are educated in a big majority under the high school diploma (A levels)

Results

Explotation
A brand new application:
- focused on financial management
- with an ergonomic human centered design  (plots)
- a permanent wizard to help to do all operations

The first contracts with farmer's cooperatives for the implantation nearby their members
